• Now  $ 150.00 to nominate and $ 150.00 to enter * excluding the Midwest Championship and the Midwest Distaff Championships on 9/13/08
• Michigan Sprint and Michigan Open, colt and geldings only
• Oaks added to the program for 3 & 4 year old fillies
• Pay out program first place 50%, second place 20%, third place 11 %, fourth place 7%, fifth place 5%, sixth place 4%, seventh place 3%

• Personal Checks accepted 

• Payments must be post marked no later than midnight of the due date.   Late penalty fee is $1000.00 plus missed payment.   Late entries will be accepted until the final payment is due, by paying all late penalty fees, and the final payment.  NO PAYMENT NOTICES WILL BE SENT.   All entry fees must be on account with  Mount Pleasant Meadows at the time of entry.

• Stakes races are otherwise subject to the rules of racing established by the Michigan Racing Commission, Mount Pleasant Meadows and ARAB Board of Directors.

• In the event of a cancellation of any race, the only obligation of ARAB, is the refund of nomination and entry fees.

• The maximum number of starters in any race shall be limited to the number of starting positions afforded by MPM starting gates.  If the gate will not accommodate all entries, the starters will be determined by the Racing Secretary.  A full paid entry in a stake race, when denied the opportunity of drawing a post position at the time of the official draw, will be entitled to a refund of nomination/entry fees.

• Any check received to pass the entry box, which is returned NSF, shall cause that entry to be declared ineligible, after the race, also causing that entry to lose its placing in the race, and all monies due that placing.

• All owners are required to be a member of ARAB in order to participate in an ARAB stakes race.

• The Racing Secretary will assign handicap weights

• Open race weights: 3 yr olds-121lbs, 4 yr olds-124lbs, older-126lbs.

• Derby/Oaks races weights: 3 yr olds-121lbs, 4 yr olds-124lbs

• Juvenile race weights: 3 yr olds-126lbs (fillies allowed 5lbs)

• ARAB reserves the right to extend the nomination period, to meet a seven-horse paid entry minimum.

• 10% jock mount fee will be deducted from 1st through 7th placing in each race.
